this music takes me outside of myself. and i'm so appreciative for artists who aren't consumed with doing whats hot or what will yield commercial or financial success. just be! if you're that dope we will automatically follow...eventually...

Introducing, Mr. Hudson.

why do i get the sneaking suspicion that this guy helped 'ye with his album? nothin wrong with that but just saying...

"Kanye West’s ever expanding G.O.O.D Music roster is home to more then just a bevy of talented MCs. Mr. Hudson’s blue eyed soulful crooning found a spot onto Kanye’s 808s and Heartbreak album and a coveted spot on the record label. For those unfamiliar with the UK singer, one listen to his song and video entitled “There Will Be Tears” and you will instantly understand what Kanye sees, and hears, in Hudson. The strength of the song lies in its melancholy beauty, layered auto tune vocals and a slight electronic flair. The tune sounds like it would have fit perfectly on Kanye’s last album. However, Hudson’s own image and personality comes through in a equally entertaining video directed by Nabil."-hbeast

DILLA!!

"In a battle with lupus which ultimately took his life, music producer J. Dilla touched the hearts of many through his powerful legacy. For J. Dilla’s mother “Ma Dukes” Yancey who was a tireless helper through Dilla’s battle with the disease, she is also is affected by the same disease that took her soon prematurely. Her condition has recently become more severe as friends jump on-board to help her out. Previous fund raising efforts were seen through a shirt via Stones Throw and artist Parra. Shepard Fairey alongside Brian Cross (B+) has also joined the cause with a special print of J. Dilla based on a 2003 photograph. In a run of 400, the prints will release on February 20th at a retail price of $55 USD (18 in x 24 in). For info on Brian Cross’ own experiences with Dilla, check ObeyGiant.com."- takenfromhbeast
